From a Tree Farm to Northern Utah's Premier Landscaper
Rich's story starts on his father's tree farm and nursery, where he learned the fundamentals of plants, soil, and hard work from a young age. That second-generation foundation, knowing what actually grows and lasts in Utah, is the backbone of every decision 3V makes today.
For 15+ years, Rich built national commercial sites for Home Depot and Walmart across four states. That experience taught him something most residential contractors never learn: how to prep a base, manage drainage, and finish to a standard that survives heavy use and harsh weather. When he founded 3V Landscaping in 2011, he committed to bringing those commercial standards home to Northern Utah backyards.
Today, 3V owns all of its heavy equipment outright, including excavators, skid steers, and trucks, which means no rental markups and no waiting on a rental company's schedule. A core crew of 4-5 full-time installers is backed by a trusted on-call network, so we can scale to big installs like laying 10,000 square feet of sod in a single day.
